Fundraising Email Template
A good fundraising email is personal, specific and respectful. Explain why you are writing, what the funds will support and how the reader can learn more, without pressuring them to contribute.
Suggested email structure
Subject: Help us reach our fundraising goal. Start with a short personal greeting, explain the situation in a few sentences, state the target and intended use of funds, then include the campaign link and a simple thank-you.
Example message
Hello [Name], I’m organising a fundraiser to support [clear purpose]. We are aiming to raise [amount] to help cover [specific costs]. If you would like to learn more, you can read the story and follow our progress here: [campaign link]. Sharing the page is also appreciated, and there is no pressure to contribute. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Personalise before sending
Use the recipient’s preferred name, verify every claim and make sure the link works. Send messages only to people you can appropriately contact and respect requests not to receive further messages.
