Bali 2026: Collecting Memories, Not Things

Hi everyone!

In the spirit of making questionable but exciting life decisions, I've decided to chase a dream and visit Bali.

Unlike Lan Wangji, I have no intention of spending years carrying my feelings in silence and admiring what I want from afar. So I've decided it's time to stop dreaming about Bali and actually make the trip happen.

Instead of collecting more stuff, I want to collect experiences, stories, and memories I'll still be talking about years from now. So I'm planning a trip to Bali—a place known for its stunning landscapes, amazing food, beautiful culture, and enough monkeys to keep life interesting.

To make things a little more fun, I've set my goal at 1,040.
Why 1,040?
Because in Chinese internet slang, 520 (wǔ èr líng) sounds similar to "I love you."
Originally, I wanted my goal to be 520, but the fundraising platform wouldn't allow it. So I doubled it.
That makes 1,040 = 520 × 2.

In other words: double the love, double the support, and hopefully double the chance of getting me to Bali. ❤️❤️
